Creating blogs could be easily shrugged off by someone who has never attempted to write one as an easy or quick task. But anyone who has written a blog will know this to be true...
I should also say, stick with it, we've made it tongue-in-cheek to suit the Buzzfeed-like GIFs but it's not all bad news when it comes to blogging!
1. Expectation: It'll take me less than an hour to come up with the best idea for a blog post that the world has ever seen!
Reality: You have been sat at your computer for 5 hours straight and still haven't come up with one solid idea.
2. Expectation: Getting a little help or inspiration from a colleague will solve all of your problems!
Reality: They think that they have given you great advice, but in reality, you didn't understand a single word they said.
3. Expectation: Once you find a topic, your creative juices will flow through the keyboard and create a post worthy of an award - yes!
Reality: Writing the blog itself is even harder than finding the idea was!
4. Expectation: Once everyone at work gets to read your perfectly written blog you will automatically be named Employee of the Year and get a promotion!
Reality: You sent out a email... no one in the office bothered to read it.
5. Expectation: Once your post is complete, the rest of the day will be a complete breeze!
Reality: Your boss comes to your desk the next day and asks you to write ten more...
BUT... Even though you know writing blogs can be hard, you actually love the feeling of getting that content marketing rolling! We can almost feel your enjoyment when you click 'schedule'...
