Hosting an event can be very stressful, there is a lot to plan and prepare for. So to take away the stress of marketing your event here are four very important pillars to focus on that are bound to make your event sign up list flourish...

Emails

Promotion Email

To get people to sign up to your event you need to give them answers to what, when, where and why. What your event is about? Where and when your event is going to be held? Why they can't miss it? Make sure you send out emails with the answers to these questions to make sure that people know about your event.

Confirmation Email

A lot of businesses do not send a confirmation email when someone registers for an event. This is a mistake, a confirmation email can benefit both you and the person who has registered for your event. The person who has registered will have peace of mind that there order or reservation went through OK, also you can add links to related content on your website (which will increase your visitors) or encourage them to connect with you on social media (grow your audience).

Reminder Email

Send out a reminder email a week prior to the event to everyone who has registered, don't forget to include the date and address of the event as well as any information that could be helpful like parking, catering, etc.

Social Media

Facebook

Create a Facebook event on your page, include all the information about your event and a link to the sign up page, regularly post about the event and share links and images related to the event.

If you are looking to reach more people through Facebook try using Facebook's paid advertising.

Twitter

Don't forget to post regular tweets about your event, always include a link to your sign up page and try and fit an image on too!

Twitter also offers paid advertising if you would like to try and reach more people through the platform.

Blogs

Writing blogs related to the topic of your event is always helpful when trying to spark interest to an event, make sure to mention your upcoming event at the bottom of the related blog and include a link to the sign up page.

Sign Up Page

Your sign up page is where you want people to sign up for your event, so make it stand out! Use quality imagery and make sure the content is clear and concise, create ticket descriptions for each different ticket option, have bold call-to-actions and don't forget to make sure there is contact information on the page.

Using all of these ideas will help you reach a bigger audience and make your attendee list grow. There are plenty of other ways to attract more people like video marketing, press releases, ask for help promoting your event from other businesses, etc. We wish you the best of luck for your future events!
