If you haven’t yet discovered how to monitor the competition and how their business page is performing in comparison to yours and other competitors, we’ll explain all…

Facebook is the perfect tool for watching old school friends, finding distant relatives and checking in on, well, pretty much everyone.

Did you know you can also apply a similar stalkerish approach to your competition? If you’re keen to see how your retail brand, hotel, restaurant or accountancy firm is shaping up on Facebook, compared to local and national rivals/benchmarks, it’s easy!

If you find yourself searching for the competition on a daily basis just to get a ‘gist’ of how they’re faring - you need the Pages to Watch tool!

As long as you have 100 page likes, you can get started!

How to use Pages to Watch

  1. Click Insights at the top of your Page
  2. Scroll down to Pages to Watch and click Add Pages
  3. Search for a Page you want to watch or choose from suggested Pages and click Watch Page
  4. After choosing at least 5 Pages, click Done

You will then be able to view key metrics and performance indicators about the competitors you’ve selected and your own business page.

The below screenshot is taken from a client’s Facebook page and allows you to understand how the Pages to Watch tool works - and helps you find ways for improvement.
