Have you ever wondered how these celebrities conduct "Q&As" with their fans and followers on Twitter? A new standalone platform, Flawk, is making all that easier - and it's great for businesses too!
Forget Reddit and insane conversations on Twitter, Flawk allows you to produce a real-time conversation with your followers.
The little-known platform was dreamt up by co-founders, Kabriel Robichaux and Matt Coalson, who spent the last six years producing Flawk.
Kabriel says: "Why can't we have 100 people talk to Katy Perry at the same time? Why do we have leave a message on Twitter and hope that sometime, she'll get back to us?" (Source: Mashable)
With that being the aim - for some of you, at least, to talk to Ms Perry - Flawk has revolutionised the simulated conversations between ordinary folk, like you and me and those who just don't have the time to reply (be that businesses or celebrities).
Twitter and Reddit and the like are designed to make conversation easier, across distances and time zones, but they aren't guaranteed to be "instantaneous". Flawk combines the benefits of various platforms to produce a truly engaging experience.
How does it work?
Flawk is the name of the company and the "events" that produce one-to-many engagements. Users sign into Flawk through their Twitter account and become a "sheep" (or that's how their avatar looks). Your Flawk URL will match your Twitter URL - so we become flawk.to/thriveHQ!
As a "host of your arena" you control how the conversation - hey, let's call it a party - pans out. Answer questions, pose questions or play YouTube videos - your space, your call.
Have an "actual conversation" - don't expand your Twitter timeline, but see how a celeb would naturally converse without sticking to 140 characters or carefully crafting their response.
