Each year HubSpot brings out their insightful State of Inbound 2016 report.

When it does inbound marketers rush to see what the latest statistics, findings and figures are suggesting about our industry and its uptake by businesses across the globe.

This year's report is no different and concludes a number of fascinating insights about marketing usage.

  1. Inbound organisations are 4X as likely to be effective.
  2. 1/3 of marketers think outbound marketing methods are overrated.

  3. Organisations that can calculate ROI are 1.6X as likely to receive higher budgets.

  4. Marketers struggle most with metrics-driven challenges.

  5. Inbound organisations with an SLA are over 5X as likely to be effective.

  6. 40% of salespeople say getting a response from prospects is getting harder.

  7. Marketers think both video and multimedia platforms have the potential to disrupt.

  8. 22% of salespeople don't know what a CRM is.
