6 Core HubSpot Marketing, Sales & Service Certifications for Your Team in 2020

Annually we update our readers on the key certifications we identify with HubSpot Academy that your marketing and sales professionals should obtain to boost your company’s outward facing communications and expertise.

Of course, these are often similar recommendations, as you can imagine, but each year there’s something different, either because HubSpot has overhauled its content, as it has done this year, or also because there are new core topics to discover and onboard into your business - as is also true this year.

This year the HubSpot Academy itself has had a lot of redesigning, to help with usability, and particularly, searchability. The modern, text-focused navigation, with bold card designs for courses already ‘in progress’ helps for much easier use than previous designs.

Marketing

Inbound

Course length: 2 hours (7 lessons)

A core certification for any marketing professional embarking on a HubSpot journey. The Inbound certification requires 2 hours of revision (watching HubSpot’s professionals’ explain and explore their expertise and methodologies), before taking the certification. The revision gives a beginners’ guide to Inbound as a belief system, including the recently-developed flywheel, and long-standing inbound methodology, ensuring that you are fully embracing the inbound ‘way’.  A must for any HubSpot Marketing Hub subscriber - your whole team should be onboarded into the HubSpot ethos, regardless of position.

Course length: 2 hours (7 lessons)

Achieve your certification: Complete a 1-hour, 60-question, multiple-choice exam.

Inbound Marketing

A perfectly-timed follow-up to the Inbound course, Inbound Marketing goes into specifics regarding the content marketing expertise you’ll need to implement to ensure your company is truly embracing the inbound way. Over 10 lessons, that’s 5 hours revision time, HubSpot’s professionals will introduce and upskill you in all of their greatest marketing tactics, including content creation and social promotion - perfect for the content marketers in your team.  A must for any HubSpot Marketing Hub subscriber - your whole team should be onboarded into the HubSpot ethos, regardless of position.

Course length: 5 hours (10 lessons)

Achieve your certification: Complete a 1-hour, 60-question, multiple-choice exam.

HubSpot Marketing Software

This is the aptly-titled 3rd certification you should prioritise as a marketer. It takes all of the knowledge you’ve learnt thus far in Inbound and Inbound Marketing, and makes practical use of it by introducing the key tools that HubSpot offers to help you deliver the inbound and content marketing skills you’ve learnt. Over 10 lessons, that’s 5 hours revision time, HubSpot’s professionals will introduce the Marketing Hub and all of its traffic-boosting, lead-generating tools and best practices. You will get a first-hand lesson, from those that know it best, on how to use all of the tools that come as part of your HubSpot Marketing Hub subscription.  A must for any HubSpot Marketing Hub subscriber - your whole team should be onboarded into the HubSpot ethos, regardless of position.

Course length: 6 hours (17 lessons)

Achieve your certification: Complete a 1-hour, 75-question, multiple-choice exam.

 

Sales

Inbound Sales

Over 3 hours of exploratory video, the HubSpot sales team guides you through the inbound sales methodology, and turning on its head all of the traditional sales techniques you may still adopt today. It allows your sales professionals to take another route, one that is more beneficial for your lead, and your company, gathering warm leads already showing an active interest in your business, thanks to the combined skills of your marketing and sales teams.  A must-do for sales professionals in your organisation, if you wish to create inbound leads.

Course length: 3 hours (5 lessons)

Achieve your certification: Complete a 1-hour, 60-question, multiple-choice exam.

HubSpot Sales Software

Explore the importance of inbound prospecting and how to utilise the tools that HubSpot offers your sales team in their Sales Hub. Walking you through the core stages of prospecting - identifying good-fit leads, connecting with contacts, and closing sales, all within HubSpot’s software, is a powerful lesson for any sales professional within an inbound-thinking company.  A must-do for sales professionals in your organisation, if you wish to create inbound leads using HubSpot tools that are in your subscription.

Course length: 2 hours (4 lessons)

Achieve your certification: Complete a 1-hour, 45-question, multiple-choice exam.



Service

Service Hub Software 

Course length: 2 hours (7 lessons)

A great recent addition to HubSpot has been the integration of the Customer Service tools within the HubSpot suite of support. The course is designed to demonstrate your ability to execute an inbound service strategy using HubSpot’s Service Hub. With seven lessons totalling 2 hours of revision time across a variety of topics, including customer journey mapping and HubSpot’s new tools, including help desk and knowledge base, this is a great introduction to HubSpot’s latest tools. Perfect for your customer service roles.

Course length: 2 hours (7 lessons)
