Backed by Game of Thrones star, Maisie Williams, Daisie is a new app aimed at connecting creatives.

The mobile app, available later this summer, will offer a platform where creators can network, like, share and collaborate on projects within a social networking setting.

With the goal of helping networkers gain exposure for their work while connecting them with others it's tipped to change the way people in creative industries work and, most crucially, collaborate and communicate.

A statement on the app's website says:

"Daisie is a playground for creative collaboration.

"Connect with creative people like you. Share original content, learn, discover and be inspired to start new conversations. We’re introducing creators from all around the world, to bring new, raw ideas to life, and reignite the spark on old projects. Explore creative work in film, fashion, music, photography, art and literature, interacting directly with the inspirational people breaking grounds at the top of these industries."

Following 10 months of development, the app has allowed early access to some eagle-eyed fans, but there is now a waitlist of more than 20k.

It's anticipated that Daisie will come in a free and premium format, with the more exclusive format offering 'looking for work' toggles, according to TechCrunch. Neither the website or app will rely on display advertising, yet the app will be completely free to download.

As Chief Innovation Officer at Daisie, Maisie Williams, her big name connections will likely lend a hand with the likes of Ed Sheeran and fashion designer, Virgil Abloh, being tipped to feature as live Q&A guests, according to Business Insider.
