Hot off the press! Twitter is going to be changing its typical layout into a much more image-orientated design. Unfortunately, that also means users are suffering with technical glitches until the redesign goes live.

At Thrive, we love to tweet - some of you will have even found us through Twitter without knowing us, nor ever having heard of us before.

Yet, this new Twitter redesign has meant that we are currently at #8Days without our tweets showing up properly. We put this down to a technical error, with the guys at @Support also tweeting to acknowledge the issue - now we think there's a much bigger reason behind it all...

Twitter is getting a makeover!

Twitter's @Support account reveals that technical glitches have been affecting users during February

The guys at Mashable have revealed that one of their editor's profiles changed dramatically last week (picture below), leading us to believe this is why so many of us have been having problems. The new layout is similar to the Facebook timeline, with the clear aim being to focus on images (like their relatively new 'search photos' option).

Recently, we have seen our Twitter profile design change so that we have the sleek white navigation bar that is in @mattpetronzio's picture, but we are yet to see the full layout implemented across the Twitter network.

If you're having any issues with Twitter, we'd advise you to sit tight and keep tweeting - if they're the same issues as we're experiencing then your tweets are being broadcast, just not appearing in your "Tweets" feed (your own profile).

We'd also suggest you start planning how your new look Twitter will be, the current belief is that the header image will be 1500 x 500 pixels.

If you're looking to embark on a website build project, whether it's completely from scratch or a site refresh, our ebook will give you the knowledge to make your project as stress-free as possible.
